Swedish to English translations [PRO]

Swedish term or phrase: bladkvist / sprötkvist
"bladkvist" and "sprötkvist" are both translated into English as "spike knot" by the sources I've found.

However, I found the following Swedish-language definitions of these terms, which indicate that they are not synonyms:

"[bladkvist:] i längdriktningen genomskuren kvist som slutar före virkesstyckets kant"

"[sprötkvist:] starkt uppåtriktad, ofta barkdragande kvist"

How can "bladkvist" and "sprötkvist" be translated in order to reflect this difference?

My TNC book has 'spike know for both of these terms...

Found other possibilities at https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:std:52502:en

Pin knot, branched knot, encased knot (this latter involves bark around the knot).

I have hörnkvist as edge/arris knot. And didn't really find a definition that exactly matched yours for sprötkvist. Just giving possibilities here.
