second section taken for H & E staining Explanation: It sounds like they are taking a section from the beginning of the block of embedded tissue, then removing 300 microns from the block and taking another section. I have said "for H & E staining" as the block itself would not be stained. The thin section is mounted on a slide then stained before coverslipping. |
