county court (first instance) - money claims centre (DEU) zentrale Mahnabteilung des Amtsgerichts (für Geldansprüche> CH&AT im Bezirks-handels-gericht) Explanation: In Germany, these 'default summons' = (fast-track) debt recovery claims would be handled in an Amts- and not Landgericht plus, in Austria, they would approximate to Mahnklagen handled by the Handelsgericht des Bezirksgerichtes > cf. in Switzerland Mahnschulden (summary-judgement debts). The County Court in England & Wales is acting here - in small and bigger money claims - as a court of first instance although, strictly, they ought be handled by the Magistrates' Court that deals with criminal cases in the main and select civil matters only e.g. alcohol licensing applications.
