the stipulator Explanation: Yes you are correct, the stipulator is the one making the stipulation. The only way I can think of to inverse this is to say something like “to whom it was stipulated”. I did a search and could not even find the term “stipulated party or person”. I can’t see any other possible translation than “the stipulator”. Example sentence(s):

nominator of a substitute (by contract novation) Explanation: More contractual context needed e.g. what kind of contract this might be. On the face of it, either party to the contract can stipulate for a substitute to 'come on the field of play': una de las partes se reserva expresamente designar después a la persona que adquirirá retroactiva e íntegramente los derechos y las obligaciones derivadas de dicho contrato. Robb: stipulator A 'stipulatee' might be better rendered as a 'covenantee'. El promitente; the covenantor Butterworths: contractor; party who stipulates ('usually in favo(u)r of third-party beneficiaries'). cf. the parties to a novation: an outgoing debtor (of performance: the *original contractor*) persuades a creditor (the client) to take on a new debtor (an *incoming contractor*) instead. 'The original debtor is thereby released from his obligations which fall one the new debtor' L.B.
