German term or phrase: Zugangskontrolle
In this translation of a contract, I have been unable to find standard translations for Zugangskontrolle, Zugriffskontrolle, and Zutrittskontrolle. The descriptions in German are in Wikipedia here: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technische_und_organisatorisch... but there is no corresponding EN page. I find both Zugangskontrolle and Zugriffskontrolle translated sometimes as "access control." I also find Zugangskontrolle translated as "admission control" and "physical access control," but those seem to apply to Zutrittskontrolle (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zutrittskontrolle)

Zugangskontrolle
Anforderung:

Wikipedia:
Zugangskontrolle: Verhindern, dass Unbefugte Datenverarbeitungsanlagen nutzen können.

This site https://flyingcircus.io/doc/reference/security/data-protecti... gives some English terms, but they don't seem to fully match.

system access control

Explanation:
In my opinion, the correct translation for "Zugangskontrolle" would be "system access control" or just "access control".

Equipment access control

Explanation:
"System access control" is good.

The German government's official translation (§ 64 Abs. 2 Nr. 1 BDSG) of "ZUGANGSkontrolle" is "equipment access control"

(This contrasts with "ZUGRIFFSkontrolle" (§ 64 Abs. 2 Nr. 5 BDSG) = "Data access control").

Because of the distinction between "system access control" and "data access control" in BDSG-related texts, I would suggest not to default simply to "access control"; perhaps the inclusion of "system" or "data" in square parentheses e.g. "[system] access control" would be beneficial to underscore the imputed difference.
