This backgauge on hydraulic press-brake has 5 translation axes which are motorised and monitored from the NC.

X1 and X2 : Part butting depth.

R1 and R2 synchronized: Part butting height.

Z1 and Z2 : Adjustment of the fingers side position.

The movements on R axes are synchronised at left and right end of the cross-member, therefore always at the same height.
