Italian term or phrase: conferire
Hello,

I must translate the word "conferire" in the following context: small wineries are members of a big winery. The small wineries give (conferiscono) their own produced wine (often in its raw form) to the big winery, that reunite all the wines in one big brand.

How can you translate "conferire" into English with this meaning?

Thank you so much in advance,

Virginia

PS ' that reunite all the wines in one big brand' needs tweaking in the Queen's English - e.g. that bring together the wines of all descriptions under one umbrella-brand or make...

supply

Explanation:
surely "supply" is the correct word in this context? I assume they are being paid for their wine?

the smaller wineries/vineyards are supplying the main (producing/bottling) one with grapes/wine. Especially for non-varietal wine. I presume this is for the appellation? It happens in a lot of areas where the Négociant or main producer buys in grapes or wine to produce the appellation wine falling within one of the classifications? See here:
