where all the cashiers' operations are summarized which results in an overall information about "Position de liquidité" of the Central Bank.

It's more a kind of "supervisory/monitoring station" keeping an eye on what's left in Central Bank's coffers. Any central bank would need one, and you would expect to find it near the cashiers.

OTOH as how it would be called in some existing Central Bank, no idea.

"position" is supposed to mean, it's impossible to say anything reliable.

the use of "la position" would suggest that it's some defined/specific "position" (of whichever variety it is), so you would expect that somewhere else in the previous text (or if you are really unlucky, somewhere in the previous correspondence no one considered necessary to make available to you ...!) this "position" was defined in some way.

Any previous sentences mentioning a "position"? Or something that could be considered as a kind of "position"?

could it be a term for the department's office? la position being the department/service and this is its office?

Hi, Thank you for your input. It is in one central bank. It is an office that is open and needs to be locked to prevent unauthorized access to information. It is staffed by someone who needs to be skilled. Could it be an office that issues statements? A duty station?

Hard to help without context, but could it be the unit that the cashier reports to? Or the equivalent to 'salle des caisses' or cashier's hall in English?
