Es geht um eine Art Lizenzvertrag. Lizenzgegenstand ist eine Software, eine Art Intelectual Asset Management System.

Im fraglichen Absatz geht es darum, dass der Lizenzgeber (LG) keine Rechtsberatung betreibt, alle von seinem System produzierten und berechneten Dokumente daher nur unverbindlichen Charakter haben, sozusagen reine Anregungen sind.
Der Lizenznehmer wird als "Customer" bezeichnet.

Der fragliche Passus lautet:

"Customer acknowledges that LG does not practice law, and that any documents produced by, or dates calculated or reported by XYZ [Name der Software], including Country Law Updates and any ***custom progression rules***, are intended as suggestions only for experienced and qualified intellectual property practitioners; and it is the Customer’s sole responsibility to review any documents produced by XYZ to ensure that such documents are suitable for the Customer’s intended purposes; and to review any dates calculated or reported by XYZ to ensure that such dates are correct. LG expressly excludes any liability for wrong information provided by XYZ."

Mit "custom progression rules" kann ich wenig anfangen. Gelegentlich beschleicht mich der Verdacht, dass "custom" hier vielleicht eine verunglückte Kurzform von "customer" ist. Aber viel weiter hilft mir das auch nicht.
