English term or phrase: carry to
Hello:

"The vehicle reaching over
23,000 miles an hour.

lt carries to nearly 80,000 miles,
30 times as far as ever before."

It means that at the speed of 23,000 miles an hour, the vehicle will cross 80,000 miles?

Best regards.

neutral  Yvonne Gallagher: nothing to do with reaching or stopping. Just "has a range of 80,000 miles" as Tony said
3 hrs

neutral  AllegroTrans: vaguely the right idea but we say "has a range of..."
4 hrs

disagree  Daryo: the vehicle will not simply "stop", especially not when moving at a speed of over 23,000 miles an hour - it will keep moving by inertia, especially in space where there is no air resistance to slow it down - basic physics.

The beginning of the movie - in the corner of the room there is a TV from the 1950's showing news from Cape Canaveral.
