French term or phrase: structure commune pour le siège
Context: Left thoracic lymph node dissection report in a context of lung cancer, from France. The end result is that none of the dissected lymph nodes contain malignancy. I am having trouble deciphering part of this sentence:

"Histologiquement, ces ganglions inclus en totalité (11 blocs) **sont de structure commune pour le siège**, renfermant souvent une histiocytose sinusale avec dépôts d'anthracose"

Any insight?

English translation:have common characteristics for their site/location
Explanation:

these lymph nodes, completely included (11 blocks), have common characteristics for their site/location

By using the combination of size, shape, characteristics and site of lymph nodes identified on imaging, the radiologist can better indicate if a lymph node is likely to be metastatic.

The site of the swollen lymph nodes may help identify the underlying cause.

If lymph nodes are detected, the following five characteristics should be noted and described:

Size, pain/tenderness, consistency, matting, location.

Location. The anatomic location of localized adenopathy will sometimes be helpful in narrowing the differential diagnosis

Lymph node dissection is a vital part of surgical treatment in early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Removal of metastatic lymph nodes while preservation of intact lymph nodes are equally important.

The complicated impacts of tumor location, size, mutation, differentiation and significant tumor markers have on lymph node metastasis are not well understood. As we all know, pathological classification is closely related to oncological characteristics and behaviors.

As for the left upper lobe, the most common sites of lymph node metastasis were the SMN and aortic nodes.

inclus en totalité means the dissected structures were all embedded yielding 11 blocks from which to produce histological sections
