German term or phrase: Signalgebend
Hi,

Does anyone have any idea what 'signalgebend' might mean in the context of a medical report on knee joints containing the sentence below?

"Innenmeniscushinterhorn etwas vermehrt signalgebend zentral".

By comparison, a later sentence includes the term 'signallos':

"Verdickt imponierende signallose Patellarsehne"

A friend who trained as a medic suggested that 'signalgebend' means a reaction to a reflex test?

Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks and regards,
Alison.
