พระ honorific Explanation: I think it's the word "พระ" you are looking for here. The whole "พิฆเนศ" being the name of Ganesh. The word "พระ" is actually the honorific title you'd find in other gods. |

Ganesh/Ganesha/Ganapati Explanation: There seems to be four acceptable spellings in Thai: พระพิฆเนศ พระพิฆเณศวร พระพิฆเณศ พระคณปติ. I believe the พิ itself is just part of the name. In one of the spellings, พิ is left out altogether. https://th.www.wikipedia.org/wiki/พระพิฆเนศ |
