Hi, I have this bullet point in a set of internal banking instructions:

Si un geste commercial doit être effectué => faire l'effort sur le compte personnel.
Does 'faire l'effort sur' have a specific financial or IT meaning (e.g. 'to input'?). Here my suggestion would be:
If a commercial gesture of goodwill should be made - credit it to the personal account.

disagree  Eliza Hall: That's a great reference. However, "be lenient with" doesn't really make sense, and compte personnel = personal account, not person's account.
