Explanation:
Utilizaría en este caso tu planteamiento; experimenta síntomas de abstinencia (sufre el "mono"). Me parece claro e inequívoco, y en este caso resultaría redundante excluir explícitamente el "mono físico", puesto que -en tanto que metáfora- es obvio que no se da aquí nada más que un "mono psicológico".

neutral  Chema Nieto Castañón: Hola, John! Es buena opción de hecho, aunque en este caso sabemos por preguntas previas que ella mantiene una relación "adictiva" con un abusador/maltratador, motivo por el que cabe entender withdrawal aquí como "mono", abstinencia.
