Of course, askers can close questions however they want. But I've asked one or two on here as well and the least you could do, IMO, is to provide an explanation and tell us what wasn't satisfying.

I thought your suggestion was great, whether it's alluding to "fire brigade" in UK English or "military brigade" in US English; both need to be well-organized, fast and efficient.

Even "speedy" would have done it, though. We're not foretellers. A direct translation doesn't work most of the time. But you know that anyway =)

I think she actually only wanted a translation of "wie die Feuerwehr." Unfortunately, she also gave context, which, naturally, we jumped on like ugly on a monkey. Phil immediately asked the corect question, but we received no answer. Ironically, here at kudoz we often meet up with non-communicative translators.

Could you clarify your question a little, please? I find it hard to understand.
"Wie die Feuerwehr", which means as/like the fire brigade, appears in your explanation but not in the text you quote.
And what exactly is this about? What does it say before and after this?
