Creo que aquí lo suyo es "macerar".

Que luego lo mezcles o se mezcle ya es otro tema.

Pero en el "colegio" de barmans... (mi jefe del Snak Bar Moka, quien me enseñó a hacel el mejor café irlandés o "Irish Coffee", de más calidad de toda Callella de Palafrugell, allá por los años 80), habríamos dicho "macerar"...

Aunque cada maestrillo tiene su librillo... :-)
