I think "snap it up" is an ideal fit in here. It has two meanings:
1. hurry up-and also could be used fig. in here.
get cracking, get moving, get on with it, hurry up, make it snappy
2. To purchase or acquire something quickly before anyone else has the chance.

Thanks for your Asker's input, that makes it rather obvious in my own view without first needing to watch the scene in the Soviet film:

"This is an original (edition)!!
(I) have to get this/it!"

or some sort of variations along that line:

"got to get this/it"
"goddageddit"

In my case, it's a scene about buying a rare comics that can be an original issue. I made an (appropriate) parallel. It's somewhat placed in the Soviet context as the scene refers to 1986 (don't ask me about the connection between comics and the Soviets - it's the screenwriters' imagination)

If I've got the direct connection to the film wrong, then I'm sorry.

BUT: if you're referring to any English-language dubbing of the Soviet film, then I will fight you to the end, because foreign-language dubbing is in almost every case totally crap!
