wide-angled moving walkway
Explanation: "wide angle" or "wide-angled" is correct, but we do not talk about conveyors but about curved moving walkways with wide angle curves. L'invention concerne un système permettant de saisir des images panoramiques en super grand-angle. A system is disclosed for capturing super wide-angle panoramic images. http://context.reverso.net/übersetzung/franzosisch-englisch/... In photography and cinematography, a wide-angle lens refers to a lens whose focal length is substantially smaller than the focal length of a normal lens for a given film plane. This type of lens allows more of the scene to be included in the photograph, which is useful in architectural, interior and landscape photography where the photographer may not be able to move farther from the scene to photograph it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wide-angle_lens Quellen Im Orientierungsplan des Münchener Flughafens erscheint der Begriff "Laufband". A moving walkway or moving sidewalk (American English), also known as an autowalk[1][2] or as in British English as a skywalk, horizontal escalator, travolator,[3] travelator,[4] or travellator, is a slow-moving conveyor mechanism that transports people across a horizontal or inclined plane over a short to medium distance.[5] Moving walkways can be used by standing or walking on them. They are often installed in pairs, one for each direction. : The entrance to the system was like a very wide escalator, with broad metal tread plates of a parallelogram shape. After a short distance the tread plates were accelerated to one side, sliding past one another to form progressively into a narrower but faster-moving track which travelled at almost a right angle to the entry section. The passenger was accelerated through a parabolic path to a maximum design speed of 15 km/h (9 mph). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_walkway Short overview on Acclerating Walkways Since the early 1960’s, an awakening interest of city developers and industry parties in accelerating moving walkways, brought new solutions to be investigated and tested. Major companies have tried to produced, install and regulate these machines. Believing a successful machine and it’s installation would create new forms of mobility and open new markets. Glidepath's GlideWalk is a moving endless walkway capable of multiple configurations due to its crescent shaped conveying surface. This unique design allows for layout flexibility as it can transport people around gentle curves. This gives a smooth and safe ride for large volumes of customers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ss2DA0vewE Hence, long overland belt conveyors with multiple vertical as well as horizontal curves, such as the one shown in Figure 1.2(a), can be developed. Furthermore, the maximum achieved flight length continues to increase, see Figure 1.2(b). : Figure 2.4. The Mitsubishi Speedwalk uses parallelogram pallets forming an S‐shape treadway. At the curves, the sideway sliding and the forward moving of each pallet results in an accelerating or decelerating speed. You can paraphrase "wide-angled" by "widely curved" (or "crescently curved" up to 180 degrees) supposed it refers to the angle, rather than the radius.

You can replace "wide" by "large", e.g. "large curve radius", if it refers to the radius or "large curve angle", if it refers to the angle. Some references for large curved walkways and similar: Whether you need a free standing walkway canopy with glass side panels to shelter residents as they walk between buildings (as we supplied for the Riverside apartment complex in Cambridge) or a large, curved cantilevered walkway cover to protect students and staff from the elements as they move between buildings (as seen at The Deepings comprehensive school in Oxford), Clovis Canopies can design, manufacture and install a covered walkway to suit your requirements. https://www.clovis-canopies.co.uk/canopy-uses/covered-walkwa... More recent timeline entries will include: installation of exterior escalators at the Pompidou Center in Paris, France (1977); passage of the Americans With Disabilities Act by Congress (1990); and installation of the first curved moving walkway at UnderwaterWorld in San Francisco (1996). http://artdaily.com/news/6972/Elevators--Escalators--br--and... 4. A system as defined in claim 2, wherein: a. At least one portion of said curved path has a fixed radius of curvature; b. Said platform has a periphery defining a radius substantially similar to said radius of curvature of said at least one curved portion of said path. https://patents.google.com/patent/US20100078291 (Please consider Figures 1 and 2) Adding to the experience, Kelly created a curved, moving walkway, adapted from airline baggage delivery belts, to move visitors through the tunnel.
