French term or phrase: chantier à étage
The term appears in a set of design criteria for an uninterruptible power supply system in a natural gas processing plant in Algeria. "Elles" are the batteries of the system.
Elles sont installées sur des **chantiers à étage** implantés dans des salles batterie équipées d'un système de conditionnement d'air indépendant.

two-tier battery rack
Explanation:
OK, it is parsed correctly. "Chantier" can mean "rack" and does seem to be the term used for battery racks. See the link below to the relevant page of the "Dictionary of Electrical Engineering: English, German, French, Dutch, Russian" ed. Y.N. Luginsky https://bit.ly/2Su1T8x

neutral  B D Finch: Quelles "termes techniques" ?// I don't see any reference to "dedicated" or "cabinets" in the source text and how do you link the source text to any term in your reference?

disagree  Daryo: "cabinets" are not "shelves" => these are NOT 2 synonyms - which one is supposed to be the right translation?

neutral  Daryo: multi-shelves battery rack?

-> A rack doesn't necessarily have shelves. In fact, it might be a safety feature to have rails rather than shelves. If it was multi-tier, I think it'd be "à étages".

Les batteries Monolite peuvent être installées sur des chantiers ou dans des armoires. FIAMM offre un grand choix de chantiers, composés d’une seule rangée sur un étage à trois rangées sur six étages, pour répondre au plus grand nombre d’applications.

Des armoires sont également disponibles intégrant ou non les protections.
