I am translating a tutorial on CNC machining, specifically boring (as in detailed drilling) and at a certain point the text has Tool Diameter Wear. The machine controls the Tool Diameter Wear and adjusts accordingly. How can this be translated? Is it slijtage?

Ik zou inderdaad gewoon slijtage gebruiken (en wellicht 'gereedschap' of een andere term die je in je vertaling gebruikt voor dit onderdeel in plaats van 'tool'): iedere lezer van dit stuk zal de tool en het proces kennen, verdere uitleg lijkt mij dus overbodig.

Tenzij er ook nog slijtage in een andere dimensie (bijv. lengte) wordt gemeten; dan moet je er dus voor zorgen dat in beide gevallen duidelijk is om welke slijtage het gaat.
