*BA 790 BR is an instable structural isomer of AD 1 and will slowly interconvert to form AD 1.
This material was used in the original development of the HPTLC plate and eluent described in the original method to demonstrate separation of BA 790 BR from AD 1, AD 12 and BA 345 BR.
From this work BA 790 BR retention factor (Rf) was determined and used to estimate the migration distance of BA 790 BR for identification and semiquantitative evaluation.
