I found other translations that get around this problem by turning it into an adjective phrase, i.e. "... impulsados por los países".

I could really do with a noun here, though, for this title. I don't think "impulso" or "impulsividad" fit the bill. Motivación? Orientación?

"Country-drive" could be "impulso nacional" or "iniciativa nacional" "empuje nacional"...

These seem to me rather synonyms...

Add "-ness" and "el empuje nacional"... fits the bill, in my opinion...

As Robert said, there's usually a UN-coined translation for these terms (country ownership = apropiación nacional) but I couldn't find one for "country-drivenness" despite the fact it seems to appear quite frequently in English. I went with "impulso nacional" (although I wasn't keen on it) when "impulsado por..." wasn't possible, to keep the association between the noun and the adjective.

inicativa (del país)

Explanation:

Notes to answerer
Asker: I think "iniciativa" is closest to "drivenness" and is a good option, but "country ownership" is closer to "responsabilidad/apropiación" - "ownership" in the sense of "to take ownership of something". "Apropiación nacional" is what I found (and used) for "country ownership".

agree  Robert Carter: This is more like it, but I feel there must be a Spanish equivalent already coined for the term, perhaps by the UN.

-> Gracias, Robert. Me parece que "emprendedurismo", aunque está más de moda, es más restrictivo que iniciativa.

neutral  Robert Carter: Hi John. I don't feel that it's referring to "dynamism" or "entrepreneurship", it's more about who is behind certain actions, who's taking the initiative, people within the country itself or outside forces.

-> Hi Robert, I see what you note, but unless I am missing something it seems a splitting airs proposition... "iniciativa" y "dinamismo nacional", is a "driveness" originated by the individuals that are part of the country... :-)
