agree  Daryo: yes, that's the basic idea - the same meaning of "stock" as a "stock" of whatever kept in a warehouse, even if here it's a "stock" of intangible goods (of knowledge).

disagree  Daryo: doesn't make sense as part of this list: stock, composition, quality, and accumulation rate [of its knowledge capital] - would also be redundant with "quality".
