French term or phrase: Navire Périmètre
This is from a Loan Agreement for a company dealing in large vessels. The full context is:

"L’Emprunteur pourra procéder à la substitution d’un Navire Périmètre (le Navire Sortant) par un ou plusieurs autres Navires (ensemble, le Navire Entrant) (une Substitution) dès lors que les conditions suivantes sont satisfaites:..."

"Périmètre" is also used in this context later on in the text:

"L’Emprunteur pourra procéder à tout moment à un Retrait du Périmètre de tout Navire Périmètre dès lors que...".

Could it possibly mean "fleet"?

I've searched and searched but I can't seem to find anything that applies. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks!

eligible vessel
Explanation:
Rebecca has provided some additional context in the discussion box.

If one of the vessels used as security for the loan is the subject of a total loss, it can be replaced by another. I take "périmètre" to mean "scope", as in "all the vessels which might be used as replacements", so "eligible" would be a good translation.

I think your idea of "fleet" is on the right lines, but they didn't say "flotte", which suggests that they can't necessarily substitute any vessel that they own.

In your second example, you could say "withdraw a vessel from the eligibility list".

Asker: Thanks Phil. That seems to make perfect sense. I couldn't work out a tidy way to get across the idea of "scope". I sent a query to the client this morning and haven't had a reply yet so, without any further information from them, I think this is a good solution.
