Core Maths qualifications were introduced in 2014, designed for students with an A*-C in GCSE mathematics who do not study AS/A level mathematics. Core Maths offers students the opportunity to build their knowledge to a higher level, with a focus on the use and application of mathematics and statistics.

Czyli jest to jakiś poszerzony kurs. Czy chodzi o matematykę stosowaną, czy lepiej zachować w brzmieniu oryginalnym (tłumaczenie przysięgłe).
