image unit module de projection Explanation: There are plenty of examples of this term on the 'Net, but not in exactly this context; I've found it mentioned indirectly in this context, but worryingly, not in any native-FR documents. Many just refer to it as a 'pavé / panneau LCD' — but of course, that wouldn't do here, as this already goes on to specify what it consists of! In any event, it is a 'module' and its role is to make it possible to 'project' — there will be one or more in any projector, but in this instance, we know it is an LCD one. No image processing takes place in this module — that's already been done by the preceding circuitry. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 hrs (2018-08-15 12:21:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The examples I found on the 'Net perform a not-dissimilar function, although they operate on a totally different principle, and for a different purpose. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 days (2018-08-21 17:17:21 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- I am myself an electronics engineer, and have work a great deal with video projectors over many years. |
