Shared State and Federal goal to improve care quality and make care more seamless, appropriate and accessible for people with dual eligibility is an imperative.
Combining Medicare/Medicaid primary, acute and LTSS financing in aligned contracts is necessary for creation of provider level payment incentives that can improve care and costs across settings and financing sources.
CMS Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office (MMCO) is sponsoring new opportunities for States to tackle these issues through demonstrations to align Medicare and Medicaid.
