peer agreement (net): +2from persuasion to poetry Explanation: How about this for a title? Ideally it should have a certain ring to it, and English is fond of alliteration. There are possible variants; for example: Persuasion and Poetry (From) the Persuasive to the Poetic I do think "verso" should be reflected in whatever English title is chosen. In your review they refer to "artistic" language; in the publisher's blurb Sarah has found they specify "discursos artísticos, como la música y la poesía". Maybe they mean literally music, but I think it's more likely they're referring to musical texts: song lyrics. Be that as it may, "poetry" in English can be literal or it can mean "artistic" (literary) language in more general terms. As for "persuasion", I think this term could cover the other side of the book's context: "discursos políticos, sociales, comerciales". In the publisher's text, again, they speak of "argumentar sobre temas de actualidad" and again mention "commercial" discourse. So I think argument and marketing put us in the area of persuasion. A title doesn't have to be a precise summary of the content; it just needs to suggest reasonably accurately what the book's about. |
