Mamma mia...Dante è sacro! propongo questa traduzione ma più che altro ti indico un paio di link che magari possono aiutarti con la direzione della traduzione. Secondo l'Enciclopedia Dantesca Treccani "chiocce" è quasi un sinonimo di aspre (o almeno veicola lo stesso genere di concetto) in riferimento al suono delle parole che dovevano essere "in linea" con l'asprezza del luogo.... spero di poterti essere stata utile in qualche modo ...
