Akcje uprzywilejowane to wydawane przez spółkę akcje o szczególnych uprawnieniach, określonych w statucie. Kodeks spółek handlowych przykładowo wskazuje, że akcje mogą być uprzywilejowane co do głosu (jednej akcji nie można jednak przyznać więcej niż dwa głosy), co do dywidendy lub podziału majątku w razie likwidacji spółki. Kwoty przeznaczone na dywidendę dla akcjonariuszy uprawnionych z akcji niemych mogą być wyższe niż 150% kwot przeznaczonych na dywidendę zwykłą.
