Thanks, but what happens before this? This seems to be describing what you will see on the screen, but it would help to know why / what makes it happen?

I really think it's vital to have more context here, to understand exactly how this term is being used — you must have SOME more context to give us, not least because the term asked is not even a complete sentence! What comes immediately before it? Is it describing the simple fact that generally, throughout the software, all buttons will appear 'gently' by fading in and out, rather than by 'popping up' abruptly? or is this in some specific situation that they will do this for some other, perhaps non-æsthetic reason?

Pour moi "fade in" donne l’image d’apparaître, par opposition à "fade out". Des options de transition "fade in/out" sont proposées dans PowerPoint pour voir à quoi ça ressemble. Je ne mettrais pas forcément le mot "fondu" à moins qu’il soit très utile dans ce texte. Est-ce que le plus important c’est l’apparition des boutons, ou leur façon d’apparaître ?
