Hi,

I have the following sentence in a pharmacovigilance questionnaire

"rappeler [à vos patients] que ses droits d'accès et de rectification ne peuvent s'exercer que par votre intermédiaire"?

"can only be exercised through you as their intermediary"?

Thanks

neutral  philgoddard: It says "par votre", not "par vous comme leur". "Par votre intermédiaire" is a boilerplate phrase meaning "through you".

s\'exercer par votre intermédiaire
be exercised through you

Explanation:
"As their intermediary" is redundant. It just means "through you", as the many examples in my reference show.

agree  Daryo: be exercised only through you // technically correct, but OTOH there's nothing wrong with a bit of redundancy.
