time-based (contract) costing methods
Explanation:
... as opposed to unit-/item-based costing. Could this be it? At any rate, I believe that 'Kalkulation' is equivalent to '(contract) costing' in a construction context. Does your list include any other 'Kalkulationsverfahren'?

I don't think that 'zeitlich' is related to 'modern' but am not really familiar with Swiss usage of this term.

Explanation:
The first suggestion "modern ..." could be right.
It's really guessing, since there is no available context.
My suggestion is another possibility.

-> You may well be right although 'contract costing' is an established concept/term in the construction business.
