Italian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Instructions for dismantling active front suspension
Italian term or phrase: fissaggio a slitta
Here's the (scanty) context:

Svincolare il connettore dal fissaggio a slitta.

Never heard of this type of fastener. Could "slide fastener" work?

plug & socket connector

Explanation:
If they're dismantling the front suspension methinks they probably mean disconnect the active suspension sensor connector disconnecting the active suspension wiring harness from the sensor on the suspension so you can take it apart. Like many connectors on a car this will almost certainly be a plug & socket connector with a seal inside to keep water out and a clip release to make sure it stays connected until the clip is released.
So, disconnect the plug & socket connector.

Sensors continually monitor body movement and vehicle ride level, constantly supplying the computer with new data. As the computer receives and processes data, it operates the hydraulic servos, mounted beside each wheel. Almost instantly, the servo-regulated suspension generates counter forces to body lean, dive, and squat during driving maneuvers.

Mind you, some of these connectors have a V type slide on them to hold them together (with another socket in a block) or to another part. So they could mean slide the connector off.
Perhaps ask the client and let us know what the verdict is.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks, but this talks about freeing the connector, not disconnecting it. Are you saying that the "fissaggio a slitta" is either the female or male side of the connector?

Asker: Here's what the client wrote, "confermo, il “fissaggio a slitta” è un fissaggio che scorre su due guide". Thus, "slide fastener" works. All the best
