"Valuation standard" seems to apply to financial assets.
I find "Einheitliche Bewertungsmaßstab (EBM)," which pertains to uniform payment scales for doctors.
"Assessment standard" is a possibility, but I'm not sure what it would mean in context.

in the patient's estimation/judgement
Explanation:
How I understand it - how a patent would estimate/judge (whether emotionally or otherwise) her/his therapist's ability.
since judgement is predominantly a subjective experience, it may be the better choice.

Thanks to Ramey for pointing me away from trying to translate this with some statistical mumbo-jumbo, and to others for confirming the general idea. I'm not sure it's right and am querying the editors. If they change it, I will note it here for the archive.

Explanation:
What significant consequences a non-confrontational approach may have on the therapist-patient relationship or on evaluation parameters used by patients can be discussed with a nod to Neuner [2008].

Explanation:
I, too, think it means a Bewertungsmaßstab as seen from the vantage point of the patient

disagree  Kim Metzger: Why perceived? She only perceives her norms of judgment? - That would be 'her' norms of judgment. With 'perceived' you're adding something that's not in the ST.
