Context: Ronan agreed to met Ava at his sister's suggestion, so they could get to know each other and possibly agree on an arranged marriage. He doesn't like the idea of getting married, though, and neither does she. As soon as the sister leaves the restaurant, they start talking about this and they both agree that it's not what they want, after which Ava says:

"Now that we’d cleared the air, I felt free to sit back and enjoy what promised to be a delicious meal, with no other expectations on either side."
