I can't make head or tails of the words "Compromete cilindros 4 y 6 en una extensión ..." -- what is the subject of the verb, what does "comprometer" mean in this context, etc.?

  -> Thanks, Robert, I think it's probably affected too, and for cilindro I found both core and cylinder: " A small cylinder (core) of tissue is taken out in the needle."/Good ref, I hadn't seen that; the opinion of an actual doctor trumps google searches!
