We routinely speak of "putting property in a trust" in the US which is exactly what you want to say here. Usage here may be a little tricky though. You put property IN (a) trust but transfer it TO or INTO a trust. Don't ask me why:) Just google both phrases in quotation marks for more examples.

Such arrangements are not only legal in the US, but fairly commonplace. However, like I said, I have no idea if Russian law has any specific laws to that effect yet. I don't know much about Russian law.

Based on your clarification, I'd say that yeah, Trust Agreement for Inherited Property would do the trick. In an original US document of this sort you would most likely just say "Trust Agreement" on top and specify all the relevant details in the body of the text without including any of them in the title, but that's just a matter of a different legal tradition, is all.

Thank you The Misha for joining in. I was fishing for this kind of help. The situation is simple. A Russian individual died and left behind наследственное имущество to his heirs (a son and a wife - individuals). Имущество is a stake in OOO (20%) worth RUB xx million. They want to "передать наследственное имущество в доверительное управление" to a trustee. They entered into an agreement with this trustee as beneficiaries. I have to translate the agreement into English as they need to report to other members and have it registered with ЕГЮРЛ and tax bodies. I got stuck with the name of the agreement (see above) and doubt how to translate "передать имущество в доверительное управление" correctly. Any help will be much appreciated)

If you need to know if such trusts are legal under Russian law, you'd better ask a Russian trust lawyer. Otherwise, you can just translate what you see. One of the ways to translate it would be as "Trust Agreement for Inherited Property" although I wouldn't know for sure without seeing the entire document. Among other things, I don't see anything in you explanation about anything "inherited". Is it indeed inheritance or corporate succession, or what?
