Sto traducendo un brevetto su un autoiniettore (siringa). Si parla spesso di "tags", che non so come tradurre.

Ad esempio qui:
"Before delivering an injection, the end cap is pulled off, removing the needle cover and rubber needle sheath with it from the needle. In the first stage of delivering an injection, the tags at the forward end of the inner housing are in contact with the syringe barrel, which is pushed axially forward (taking the syringe holder with it)".

E qui:
"The second stage of the injection is the delivery of the medicament wherein the tags at the rear of the inner housing depress the plunger into the barrel of the syringe in order to deliver medicament to the injection site."

Explanation:
non credo che tag nel senso di "tag" (etichetta) possa svolgere l'azione descritta nella seconda frase

the tags at the rear of the inner housing depress the plunger

e anche il plurale, in entrambe le frasi, non ha senso con questo significato

le descrizioni nei brevetti sono molto precise e immagino tu abbia dei disegni

sono più propensa a credere che si tratti di linguette

in altro campo (elettrotecnica, elettronica ... )
soldering tag è la linguetta a saldare
