Portuguese term or phrase: não bastasse
Hi all,

I came across this quote in an article from Valor: "Não bastasse a demanda fraca, os estoques estao perto de um ano de VGV (valor geral de vendas)." Não bastasse here is short for como se não bastasse, right? So the sentence would translate to: "As if the weak demand weren’t enough, the stocks are now close to a year of Total Potential Sales Value"?

Thank you!

My poor car was smashed beyond repair in the accident, and as if that weren't enough, I also spilled coffee on my brand new suit! Languages, and English in particular, are a difficult thing to learn.
