I am proofreading a long translation and have some uncertainty about the subject, which is roofing. I don't know roofing in any language and so for this job I have been researching terms and practices. For example, I now know more than I ever wanted to about rafters and trusses, and the word arbalétriers I have generally translated to rafters.

It appears that on this job the "feet" of the rafters buckles, so part of the job is installing or implementing anti-buckling measures...
