French term or phrase: bibliographie orientative
Hello -- I am translating a call for submissions for a special issue of a journal dedicated to economic development. This call for submissions provides the usual instructions to prospective authors. At the end of the document is a section called "Bibiographie orientative"; it is empty but I assume it might offer for reference a list of existing publications relating to the theme of the special issue to help guide the reflection process for prospective authors. What could this be called in English? I can only find one instance of "orientation bibliography" in a good context in English so far. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thank you for this, Lara! It seemed best in my context. Thank you also to Herbalchemist for suggesting "recommended reading" which I think would be good also. And thank you to everyone who took the time to make suggestions -- much appreciated.

Suggested bibliography

Explanation:
That's the term that is usually used.
Alternatively 'Helpful bibliography' which is closer to the French
but it sounds a bit less formal

Guidance for further reading

Explanation:
The French term does not seem to be widely used. But from looking at a few examples of its use (e.g. http://cfdip.uspc.fr/fr/formations/catalogue-des-formations/... it seems to be a list of references that enables readers to find their bearings within a given discipline. This makes me think of "guidance for further reading" in English (e.g. http://www.oxfordbibliographies.com/view/document/obo-978019...
