fitted as 0.022/h= 0.53/day corresponding to a time constant of 45h indicating the time
scale of the process. The main endogenous glucose elimination processes under fasting
conditions are much faster: 0.8/h corresponding to a time constant of 1.2 h [11].
k out did not depend on standard covariates as weight, sex, race. C 50 shows dependency
on weight, gender, race; gender or race being correlated with weight. Model development
including the categorical variables race and gender is resumed in the lower part of table
2. Best model was fit 993310269 with separate C 50 for Asians and Caucasians. Sex
was not found a relevant covariate. The continuous covariate weight will be further
investigated in the following paragraph.
