En lo que respecta al medio ambiente hay que resaltar que se ha generado un gran número de informes y estudios extensos en el marco del desarrollo de las figuras de protección que afectan al espacio. Cada área protegida (esto afecta a la práctica totalidad del espacio) dispone en el desarrollo de su sistema de planificación de los informes de situación ambiental que incluyen el paisaje, la biodiversidad, la geodiversidad, el patrimonio cultural, y los usos y ****tensiones*** en cada caso. Los mismo es aplicable al desarrollo de las ZEC incluidas en la Red Natura 2000, aunque en este caso la información es más de carácter ambiental.
