La nuova tendenza, che affonda le sue radici nella storia, si chiama “delfiniera”. Non fa picchiare l’ancora contro lo scafo con le attuali prue verticali, visto che le prue ormai non hanno più lo slancio prodiero che preservava lo scafo dal contatto accidentale con l’ancora che bascula. Ma soprattutto la delfiniera permette di spostare all’estrema prua il punto di mura delle ormai indispensabili vele da portanti e vento leggero, come gennaker e Code 0, così da armarla senza ostacolare lo strallo di prua dove è issato il fiocco. E’ possibile montarla su una barca che ne è priva?
