George, Nicholas Papadopoullos Explanation: His Christian (given) name is George with a (,) comma after it, Then his Father's name, Nicholas( a lot of Greek speaking people use 'Nicolaou' instead of 'Nicholas', which confuses the English speakers thinking it is a Romanian name( Iliescu, Chiashescu). The father's name is followed by the father's 'Surname', which is the family name. The comma(,) in many cases is optional, but it brings confusion to the reader. Example:- Andrew, John Smith... Andrew:- is the Christian(given) Name John:- is the Father's Given name Smith:- is the family name, ie the father's Surname. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day4 hrs (2017-08-13 12:28:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- For Example:- Lord Byron's name was.. George, Gordon Byron George, was his Given Name was, Gordon, was his Father's Given name Byron was their family Name. Sir William Henry Bragg( Nobel price winner) William, was his Given name, son of Henry, surname Bragg. Winston/Leonard, Spencer Churchill. Many times English people can have 2 given names, Winston-Leonard, of father Spencer, surname Churchill -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day4 hrs (2017-08-13 12:36:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- George, Nicholas Papdopoullos, Γιώργος Νικολάου Παπαδοπούλλου, but, because there is no Genitive case in English as in Greek, where we know that Γιώργος Νικολάου is George who 'belongs' to Nicholas, they say George, Nicholas xxxx, as they don't understand what 'Nicolaou' means. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day4 hrs (2017-08-13 12:44:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- In the British Municipal and State Register, MY NAME is, Phytos, George Perdios. Ο Φύτος του Γεωργίου Περδίου/ ο Φύτος Περδίος, του Γεωργίου. Φύτος=Νεόφυτος -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day12 hrs (2017-08-13 20:58:55 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Typ.:- The comma(,) in many cases is optional, but it brings **confusion** to the reader. ( 5th. line of 'Explanation') 'Confusion' should read 'CLARITY', as to which the Christian/Given Name is. |
