Ces observations gagneraient à être continuées These observations should be continued Explanation: The actual tense reads as a "would", but "would gain" indicates that advice is being given. I think "should" makes for a good solution here and frees you from the French structure, which works well in French but can be cumbersome if followed too strictly here. |
