quantity surveying and professional practice Explanation: This is a course in architecture, not real estate, so the person who calculates a building's cost and ROI is a quantity surveyor rather than an appraiser. My dictionary reference has "servizi di estimo per opere di ingegneria civile" as "quantity surveying for civil engineering works". I've also linked to the syllabus. And the usual phrase is "professional practice" rather than "professional activity".
