French term or phrase: on peut même dire de prédilection
Hi again!
DOC: 1907 Museum catalog of ancient Egyptian mirrors.
CONTEXT: Miroirs solaires. - Le modèle le plus ordinaire, ***on peut même dire de prédilection***, du miroir égyptien est le solaire.
ATTEMPT: Solar mirrors. -- The most common form of the Egyptian mirror, one could even say the preferred one, is the solar.
ISSUE: I'm not sure I've got it just right, I wasn't able to find any confirmation online. Perhaps this "can" is "might" here?
Thanks in advance!

arguably even favourite
Explanation:
The commonest — arguably even favourite — form...

I'd use some kind of parenthesis like this to avoid repeating 'form' (or 'shape', etc.), and try and slim it down.

'favourite' or 'preferred', whichever you prefer! Or even perhaps 'favoured'?

Thanks everyone. This suits me best, but I also particularly like "perhaps even the preferred/ favored form", reads really well.

if not the form of predilection

Explanation:
I know that "might" is not a correct match in terms of tene, but I feel it works well here. Considering the context, I think also that predilection is a suitable choice.

neutral  Tony M: Sounds clunky to me, I'm afraid, Nikki... and I'm not at all sure about 'ordinary' here?
